Bangkok

We left the Parklane Hotel in Siem Reip at 10.30am and headed to the airport by Tuk Tuk ($4) the Air Asia plane lifted off at 11.55 and after a smooth fight landed in Bangkok 50 mins later. Through immigration and out of the from doors of the airport straight onto a public bus (literally). A fast 15 minute trip to Mo Chit BTS station and bought a ticket and immediately onto a waiting train which took off when we boarded. Got to Siam station stepped off the train and right onto a train on the next door platform. Three stops later we got off the train, walked down the exit No.2 steps and literally into the front entrance of our hotel.

Total time from Siem Reap Hotel to Bangkok hotel ….. 3.5 hours !!!!

No jet lag today 🙂

The hotel taken from station. Down the steps buy your goodies from the vendors and in the entrance. 🙂

Many people say “I don’t like Bangkok, it’s big, noisy, hot and crowded”…. Of course it is…!!!!!!!!!! That’s why we love it 🙂

Our hotel room was HUGE, large fridge, air con, free WiFi, DVD player, king size bed, en suite, three seat couch, flat screen TV and quiet even though it is next to the six lane road and the skytrain. At the entrance there is a 7/11 store, a beauty saloon, a florist, an “alien marriage” and visa shop, a restaurant, massage shop and a couple of stalls selling deep fried chicken and other deep fried goodies (had them for lunch) and in the basement there is a food hall that must seat 200 people. It is different, but at $32 a night breakfast included it’s a good deal.  🙂
